Kerry Washington Calls Out Adweek Magazine For Photoshopping

Kerry Washington has accused Adweek magazine of photoshopping her recent cover photo which left her completely unrecognisable. In an Instagram post, the 39 year old Scandal star said she was "taken aback by the cover" and left her with an "unfortunate feeling"
"So...You know me. I'm not one to be quiet about a magazine cover. I always celebrate it when a respected publication invites me to grace their pages. It's an honor. And a privilege. And ADWEEK is no exception. I love ADWEEK. It's a publication I appreciate. And learn from. I've long followed them on Twitter. And when they invited me to do a cover, I was excited and thrilled. And the truth is, I'm still excited. I'm proud of the article. And I like some of the inside images a great deal. But, I have to be honest...I was taken aback by the cover.
Look, I'm no stranger to Photoshopping. It happens a lot. In a way, we have become a society of picture adjusters - who doesn't love a filter?!? And I don't always take these adjustments to task but I have had the opportunity to address the impact of my altered image in the past and I think it's a valuable conversation. Yesterday, however, I just felt weary. It felt strange to look at a picture of myself that is so different from what I look like when I look in the mirror. It's an unfortunate feeling. That being said. You all have been very kind and supportive. Also, as I've said, I'm very proud of the article. There are a few things we discussed in the interview that were left out. Things that are important to me (like: the importance of strong professional support and my awesome professional team) and I've been thinking about how to discuss those things with anyone who is interested, in an alternate forum. But until then...Grab this week's ADWEEK. Read it. I hope you enjoy it. And thank you for being patient with me while I figured out how to post this in a way that felt both celebratory and honest. XOXOXOX"

Khloe Kardashian Graces The Cover Of Shape Magazine

Khloe Kardashian showed off her hard-earned curves in a grey body suit on the cover of Shape Magazine's May 2016 issue. where the 31-year-old reality TV star talked about making her health a priority, loving her body and looking good.

"I love my shape because I've earned every curve ...I work hard in the gym to get it. But I also loved my shape before, when I was even curvier. I was always incredibly comfortable in my skin. Everybody else saw me in a different way, but I didn’t see myself that way. I still wore bodycon dresses back then; I didn’t cover up with a muumuu. Today I put in the work to get the curves I have and every bit of firmness. I feel empowered and bad*ss that I was able to accomplish everything I have,"

Speaking about Lamar, Khloe said

"When Lamar and I broke up, I had all these emotions that I didn’t know what to do with. Some people suggested therapy, but instead I joined my local Equinox gym, where I’d get on an elliptical and watch bad reality TV. As a result, I started losing weight. Once I realized I could shed some pounds that way, I began working out regularly with my trainer, Gunnar Peterson, and I made a commitment to get healthy. He taught me that the trick to staying motivated is to find what you really love to do. We did cardio, calisthenics, circuit training, Pilates, and boxing"

On diet, she said:

"I am a creature of habit and stick with the same foods"

On a typical day, she'll eat a banana and almond butter for breakfast, a post-workout protein shake, a lunch of Chinese chicken salad, and steamed vegetables with chicken for dinner.

Already named Chanel’s newest ambassador, Willow Smith continues her millenial takeover by covering Teen Vogue‘s May issue where she talks feminism, finding herself and what it means to be an artisan.
“Being a young African-American woman with dreads, it blows my mind that I’m a Chanel ambassador. Like, how am I a Chanel ambassador? It is so beautiful. I’m coming into a new part of my life that is completely unknown, and I’m jumping right in. All I can do from here is continue to shift paradigms and continue to push the envelope further and further. But I am doing it every day just by being myself.”

Jennifer Lopez Looks Ageless For W Magazine

At 46, mother of two, American Idol judge, global superstar with a three-year Vegas residency contract, to say Jennifer Lopez has a lot on her plate, is an understatement. She sat down with W Magazine this month to talk her lengthy career that doesn’t seem to be slowing down, and her fight to stay on top.
“It’s a man’s world, and, truly, people in a business setting do not value a woman as much as a man. I feel like I’m constantly having to prove myself. If a man does one thing well, people immediately say he’s a genius. Women have to do something remarkable over and over and over. And, even then, they get questions about their love life.” She shrugged. “People underestimate me. They always have, and maybe that’s for the best. It’s fun to prove them wrong.”
“I’ve been in the grind and the game for a long time. At a certain point, people respect you when they see you fall down and get back up. The more you’re in this life, the more they celebrate your triumphs.”
Full interview can be found here. Gallery below, where Jennifer can be seen wearing Giambattista Valli, Chanel, Fendi, Michael Kors and Rochas.

“I think the world is bored with the saga,” she said. “I don’t want to add anything to it, because then there’s just more… I guess what I wanted to call attention to in my speech at the Grammys was how it’s going to be difficult if you’re a woman who wants to achieve something in her life no matter what.”
