Melania Trump is the third wife of American billionaire real estate developer and 2016 U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump. She is a Slovene-American jewelry and watch designer and former model. Born in Slovenia, then part of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, she became a permanent resident of the United States in 2001 and a citizen in 2006. She actively campaigned for her husband during his 2016 presidential campaign.
